Our prestressed concrete fencing posts are the product of over 30 years of experience, and have been used all over Southern Africa, being specified by consulting engineers for some of the highest level security installations in the sub-continent.

These posts are designed by a professional engineer, and manufactured in a production facility designed to ensure adherence to the specification and quality standards.

Our current design is the result of a survey done in May 1996 which showed that engineers, architects, contractors and end users would favour concrete posts if certain criteria were met, namely durability, mass, availability and price.

Cavcon responded magnificently by designing and producing a new range of posts that are not only more resilient than the tried and trust previous design posts, but are also 30% lighter and 30% more economical (not to mention on site handling and transport savings) while retaining all of the positive engineering design features and expertise that the original style of Cavcon posts contained.

• In a field test they were shown to be very much stronger than 50mm x 2mm tubular steel posts.
